In Brave New World, Huxley vividly portrays a futuristic society where people are all uniformly “satisfied” with all that they have ever wanted or had. However, their happiness is meaningless since it is conditioned by the powerful absolute rule of the government. Totalitarianism is the ultimate control of an elite group over the masses.
